The corporate community is in suspense: who will win this year’s AFAS Young Business Award? This desired award is given annually to the ‘Best Young Company of The Netherlands’. From Sunday 12th November, you can watch the nerve-racking competition every week on RTL-Z and Videoland.

It’s not just a competition; it’s an opportunity to elevate your business to new heights. As the winner, you not only receive a prestigious title but also support in raising growth capital from more than 20 top venture capital funds. These investors have a staggering total capital of 2 billion euros available to invest in your business.
The competition
The competition comprises five television episodes, including four preliminary rounds and one exciting final. Twelve participants get the chance to pitch their company to the jury. After each preliminary round, the jury selects a company to proceed to the final. During the final, a new jury selects the ultimate winner of the AFAS Young Business Award 2023.

What happens after the victory?
After the winner is announced in the final, an exciting trajectory starts. The goal? To strike a deal with one or more of the connected investors. The talks and the process for this run until the end of 2023. At the beginning of 2024, feedback on the investment process follows through a column in ‘The Entrepreneur’, where the winner, the investor(s), and a capital expert speak.
